I started my career
in cake decorating in 1991, while working in a patisserie
in my hometown of Rochester in Kent. Thrown in at the deep
end when the resident cake decorator retired, I had to learn
quickly, but I was hooked!
Since that hasty
apprenticeship, I have been privileged to study Sugarcraft
and Cake Decorating professionally at the prestigious Brooklands
College, gaining distinctions to Advanced level and achieving
success in a number of competitions. My other studies included
inspirational chocolate courses, wedding floristry, and a
spectrum of traditional arts and crafts that can be translated
into sugar to stunning effect.
I have now opened my own sugarcraft
studio, “Icinghouse”, and I am following my dream
to design and create beautiful, individual cakes. I offer
a very friendly, personal service to couples who are planning
a gay wedding or partnership celebration. I am personally
thrilled at the recent change in legislation, and would welcome
you for a no-obligation consultation, where we can talk through
your plans and wishes and I can show you many original and
inspirational designs and displays of my work. I hope you
will contact me to arrange a visit. |
